Villas I Information and Pictures of the Complex in Rancho Santa Fe

Villas I  was the first development that was built at Whispering Palms between 1965 and 1969. They are at the entrance to Whispering Palms on the South Side.  Even though it is an older condominium complex, the grounds are well maintained. Some lie on the golf course, while others are what we call “interior Villas” that have larger indoor courtyards and patios.  Villas I is also characterized by low density, spacious and green walkways and greenbelts.  Villas 1 has become in demand in the past few years as buyers are buying up the original Villas and doing complete remodels. Between 2008-2011 we had a few sell in the $400,000’s in their original condition. Buyers are realizing the value of being able to buy a second or primary home with little maintenance in Rancho Santa Fe for under $500,000 and put their personalized stamp on a completely remodeled unit.  The first gallery of photos will give you some sense of the space within the shared, common areas.

Villas I has two pools inside the complex that you can see here:

What is special to many buyers of Villas I is Courtyards and Patios that Villas I provides with each unit. Most Units have unbelievable larger front Courtyards upon entering through your private gate. On the Golf Course Townhomes, the patios on the course tend to be a bit smaller. However, the units that are not on the golf course often provide beautiful back patios as well. The plan of the 2 bedroom/2 bath provides 2 patios, a front courtyard and a back courtyard. As of this date, I am still trying to find a master plan of the floor-plans for Villas I for you to view. Keep checking back because I will continue to hunt them down!

One of the many beauties of buying into an older building is that you have 2 choices: buy a fully remodeled townhome or buy one in the original condition and put your own personal style into the remodel of your home. The next set of pictures reflect some of the townhomes I have sold in their original condition from 1960’s and those buyers got some fantastic deals!

The next collection of pictures represent an exquisite townhome in Villas I that was completely remodeled inside and out and I am very proud to have listed it and sold it.
